Maple Run Stables is a private facility dedicated to preserving a safe, friendly, and educational environment where both horses and riders thrive.

Situated on 32 picturesque acres in beautiful Hillsborough, NJ, Maple Run Stables is located on the border of Somerset and Hunterdon County in New Jersey, just thirty minutes from USEF headquarters in Gladstone. Maple Run Stables focuses on balanced seat riding instruction and lessons can be specialized to jumping or dressage.

Our property also offers varied terrain with hills, a small stream and open fields. Boarders can chose to ride in either our indoor or outdoor arena.

We're hoping spring is coming....so hopeful in fact that we are having a contest! If you can guess the date at which the snow pile in front of the lesson barn will be completely melted, you will win a free lesson! Put your name on the calendar in the boarder barn to enter.  This month we will be going to the following events: March 15- Horse Park of New Jersey Dressage Show March 22/23- Clinic with Andrea Leatherman at Buckwampum Farm   Also, put April 26 on your calendars as that will be the date of Maple Run's in-house schooling show. February saw a few of us at the farm venturing out in the frozen tundra to other facilities. Steph and Leroy attended a clinic with Marilyn Payne, and Dana and Jess took Gem and Cooper to a dressage show at the Horse Park of New Jersey. What a cold winter we are experiencing this year! We are giving the horses the best care possible with hot water in their buckets, and plenty of hay in their stalls. Let us know if you want your horse to get an extra layer as the termperatures dip and we will be happy to oblige. In regards to lessons, please contact the farm if you are unsure whether or not to ride due to the temperatures/weather. We are always here, but we understand that you may not feel like coming out. The safety of riders and horses in these temperatures is of great importance to us, so do not be hesitant to call and discuss matters with your instructor!
